Questions worth asking before you rent.
Does rentr handle my payment or deposit?+
No. In v1, owners and borrowers arrange payment directly through the owner’s GCash, Maya or bank details. rentr records when payment is marked and confirmed, but never holds the money or deposit.
When is the exact pickup address shared?+
Only after the owner approves a rental request. Before approval, people see the city and an intentionally approximate location. Cancelling the booking revokes access to the exact address.
Do I need to submit a government ID?+
Phone verification is required for every account. Government ID verification is optional and gives your profile an ID-verified badge after admin review.
What happens if an item is returned damaged?+
Care instructions and pickup and return photos provide evidence for mediation. rentr does not insure items, hold a damage deposit or guarantee compensation, so both parties should inspect the item and agree on terms carefully.
